Responsibilities:
Lead the development of embedded firmware for controlling permanent magnet motors/generators using C/C+
and Assembly languages. Engage in Model-Based Design software development using Matlab/Simulink. Modify or create new motor control codes to enhance or support existing firmware. Participate in software architecture and operational design reviews, both internally and externally. Generate comprehensive documentation for firmware, ensuring traceability to customer requirementsThis includes Software Requirements Specification, Software Design Description, Software Verification and Validation Plan, Software Test Plan, Software User Documentation, and Software Quality Assurance Plan. Conduct hands-on activities such as debugging, troubleshooting, and testing. Formulate and execute test plans, ensuring validation tests are conducted and compliance with specifications is achieved. Establish and implement a firmware lifecycle control process along with associated documentation. Provide timely software support for in-house testing and customer field service support. Experience and Education:
Candidates should possess a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of industry experience, with a preference for candidates with a PhD. A robust background of at least 5 years in the development of motor control using C/C+
is essential. Hands-on expertise in Field Oriented Control, 3-phase power control, and control system design is required. Familiarity with flux estimation methods, as well as experience in sensorless and resolver-based controls, is expected. Proven proficiency in implementing space vector, sinusoidal, and/or discontinuous PWM schemes is a prerequisite.
